Insulation board, packaging foam and buoyancy materials are sold by apparent density, and this kit measures it from 10 to 500 kg/m³. Specimens are cut as cubes from 25 mm or cylinders from 30 mm, measured with a 0.01 mm caliper and 0.01 g balance, or by immersion. Accuracy on regular specimens is ±1%.
