Starting the valve and stopwatch by hand adds a few seconds of error to every test. This two-cup viscometer lifts the valve by solenoid and times flow photoelectrically between the 20 ml and 70 ml levels at 0.1 s. It controls ambient +5 to 80 °C at ± 0.1 °C and accepts 3, 4, 5 and 10 mm orifices.
