Rock blocks from quarries and outcrops must be cored before most laboratory tests. This bench machine drills 25–100 mm cores up to 200 mm deep with a 2.2 kW motor and three spindle speeds of 400, 800 and 1400 rpm. A 500 × 400 mm table with vise clamp holds the block while water flushes through the bit.
