Where no shore power or cabling exists, a solar buoy keeps a lake or reservoir under watch. Buoys of 1.2–2.0 m carry 50–200 W panels and 100–300 Ah batteries, with sensors for chlorophyll, BGA, DO and more at 0.5–30 m depth. Data goes out over 4G, satellite or optional LoRa every 10–60 min.
