Halogen-free electronics, RoHS screening and alternative fuel testing call for F, Cl, Br, I and S measured from solids. This system combusts 10–100 mg at 900–1100 °C, absorbs gases in water with hydrogen peroxide and quantifies by suppressed conductivity IC, with halogen detection limits in the low mg/kg range (1–10). Repeatability is ≤5% at 100 mg/kg. Each sample takes about 15–25 min.
