Long-term storage of cell lines, serum and nucleic acids depends on vials that keep their seal when frozen. These polypropylene tubes hold 1–5 mL and suit storage at −80 °C or −196 °C. Threads are internal or external, sealed by an O-ring or silicone gasket. Sterile, nuclease-free and barcoded versions are available.
