Using the wrong emulsion type on a given aggregate can cause poor adhesion. This tester applies 12 V DC across two 25 × 100 mm stainless electrodes 12.7 mm apart, at 8 mA minimum, for a 30 min auto-stop run. Deposits on the cathode confirm a cationic emulsion, and current reads digitally to 0.1 mA.
