Reflux extraction keeps fines on filter paper and needs no high-speed rotation. This apparatus holds up to 1000 g in two stainless wire-mesh cones inside an approx. 4 L glass jar, with a water-cooled condenser returning solvent over the sample. Heat comes from a controllable 0–600 W hotplate.
