Kinetics studies, enzyme reactions and temperature-critical synthesis need the liquid, not the plate, held at setpoint. An external PT1000 or Pt100 probe and PID control hold the medium within ±0.5–1 °C up to 300 °C. A separate limit sets between 50 and 450 °C, and RS-232 and USB support logging. It can replace small water baths.
