Where a permit limits stack emissions, a packed wet scrubber removes 90–99% of acid fumes depending on the acid. Water or dilute alkali circulates from a 50–200 L reservoir at 2–10 L/m3 liquid-to-gas ratio, driven by a PP or PVDF pump of 0.5–2 kW. Airflow is 600–2000 m3/h.
