Separating moisture loss from a melt, or an oxidation exotherm from weight gain, is easier when both signals come from one specimen. This TGA-DSC combines a 0.1 µg balance with 1–5 µW heat flow resolution over −150 to 700 °C. Calorimetric accuracy is ±2% with indium. Crucibles come in alumina, platinum or aluminium for 5–30 mg samples.
