Most routine cell lines are happy in a well-sealed air-jacketed incubator, and it is lighter and simpler to look after than water-jacketed designs. Volumes run 50–200 L with 3–5 stainless shelves. CO2 is held to ±0.1–0.3% by an infrared sensor, and uniformity is within ±0.3 °C at 37 °C. A copper-lined interior is available.
