Acceptance of new transformer oil, field screening and filtration plant checks all start with breakdown voltage. This tester ramps AC voltage at 0.5–5 kV/s (2.0 kV/s default) up to an 80 kV or 100 kV ceiling with ±1 % accuracy, across a 2.5 mm gap adjustable from 1 to 5 mm. Program 1–9 breakdowns per sample; state 50 Hz or 60 Hz supply.
