The laboratory bulking test compares the volume of damp sand with the same sand inundated in water. This set provides two 250 mL glass cylinders graduated every 2 mL, a 500 mL jar, a 300 mm steel rule and a 6 × 300 mm rod. A 400 × 300 mm galvanised tray and scoop are included for mixing the sample.
