Damp sand occupies more volume than dry sand, so sites that batch by volume must correct for bulking or the mix ends up short of sand. We supply glass cylinder sets for the laboratory method, a steel container field kit, a surface moisture flask, an electric hot plate moisture kit and a microwave moisture probe for batching plants. Whether you batch by volume or mass, and how often moisture changes, decide the choice. The apparatus supports IS 2386 (Part 3), ASTM C70 and ASTM C566.
