Soundness tests show whether aggregate will break down under repeated wetting, drying, salt crystallisation or frost, which is the main durability risk in exposed concrete and road surfaces. We supply basket and container sets for the sulphate method, a temperature-controlled solution bath, an automatic immersion and drying system, an EN magnesium sulphate set and a freeze-thaw cabinet. Climate, standard and test volume decide the choice. Our sets support ASTM C88, BS EN 1367-2 and IS 2386 (Part 5).
