The concrete prism test is the reference ASR method, but prisms must sit over water in sealed containers for a year at 38 °C. Each of the six 22 L polypropylene containers holds three 75 × 75 × 285 mm prisms on a perforated rack above 20 mm of water. Wick-lined walls keep humidity high, and lids are airtight.
