Large surgical and autopsy specimens release formaldehyde across the whole surface, so downdraft extraction pulls vapour away from the operator's face. This station offers 1200–1800 mm by 700–800 mm of 304 stainless worktop, 0.3–0.5 m/s face velocity and 800–1500 m³/h airflow. LED lighting gives about 1000 lux at 60 dB(A) or less.
