An uneven film is the main cause of scatter between duplicate Fraass results. This device heats up to four plates on a levelled surface to 200 °C at ± 2 °C, so 0.40 ± 0.01 g of binder spreads into an even 0.5 mm film. Adjustable feet and a spirit level keep the plate flat.
