Cement-treated bases are often too stiff for a 10 kg LWD to deflect measurably. This heavy-duty model takes 10, 15 or 20 kg weights, producing up to about 15 kN on a 300 mm plate, measured by a 0–20 kN load cell. The modulus range reaches 1000 MPa, and a two-wheel trolley moves it between points.
