Light weight deflectometers check the stiffness of subgrade and unbound layers in under a minute per point, which suits compaction control on long earthworks better than slow static plate tests. We build standard 10 kg units, three-geophone models for layer analysis, Evd dynamic plate testers, heavier 20 kg versions and units with a load cell and interchangeable plates. Layer stiffness, the specification you work to and whether you need back-analysis decide the model. Our LWDs are made for testing to ASTM E2583 and ASTM E2835.
