Before a rig is mobilised, shallow boreholes by hand or light equipment tell you what the ground is and where the water table sits. We supply Iwan post-hole augers, extension rod sets with clay, sand and gravel bits, tripod percussion boring kits, petrol-powered earth augers and window sampler kits. Soil type, target depth and site access decide which suits you best. Kits are put together for investigations following BS 5930 and BS EN ISO 22475-1, with auger boring practice covered by ASTM D1452.
