Converting pore volume to porosity, or checking closed pores in ceramics, starts with true density. This helium pycnometer works by gas displacement with cells of 1, 10, 35, 100 or 135 cm³, giving ±0.03% volume accuracy and ±0.02% density repeatability. Each cycle takes 3–10 min. Use helium of 99.995% or higher purity.
