Steel mills and foundries controlling carbon and sulfur between melts need results in under a minute. This high-frequency induction analyzer burns 0.05–1 g in a 15–25 MHz furnace, reads carbon from 0.0001% to 6% and sulfur to 0.35% on 2–4 infrared cells, and finishes in 30–60 s. Carbon RSD is ≤0.5% at 0.1% C.
