Relative density needs the loosest state as well as the densest, found by pouring without disturbance. This set has a funnel with 12.7 mm and 25.4 mm spouts, a scoop for gravel up to 75 mm and a 0.1 ft³ (2830 cm³) steel mould. A 300 mm straightedge trims the surface without compacting it.
