Resin-embedded bone, dental implants and calcified veterinary samples need more clamping force and a stronger knife than routine paraffin work. This microtome uses tungsten carbide or heavy knives, cuts 1–60 µm on blocks up to about 60 × 50 mm and offers block face cooling or moistening. Feed can be manual or motorised.
