Soxhlet Extraction System

Fat in food, oil in feed and additives in polymers are still measured by Soxhlet in many reference methods. This system has 2–6 positions with cellulose or glass fibre thimbles, using 50–150 mL solvent per position. Cycles take about 10–20 min, and full extractions 1–6 h, with heating up to 150 °C. Automatic solvent recovery is available.
