Placing a reactor or a long specimen into position is far easier when the furnace body opens on a hinge. This split design latches closed around tubes of 25–100 mm in quartz, alumina or alloy, with a 200–600 mm hot zone up to 1200 C. It is well suited to setups where glassware stays connected.
