Crossmatch segments need to be sealed, cut and counted consistently. This unit senses the tube optically, seals in about 2 s at 27.12 MHz, cuts with an integrated blade and counts segments per donation. Segment length is adjustable at roughly 10–50 mm on 3–9 mm tubing, at about 600–900 segments/h.
