Sterile Tubing Welder for Blood Bag Connections

Pooling components, adding satellite bags or preparing paediatric aliquots requires joining tubing without opening the system. This welder uses a single-use wafer heated to about 260–300 °C, completing a weld in 20–30 s on matched PVC tubing of 3–6.5 mm. Sensors check wafer, tube position and temperature, and the log records counts and errors.
