Bitumen, base oils, heavy fuel and other high-flash products are tested in an open cup, and this unit finds both flash and fire point without an operator watching. It follows ASTM D92, ISO 2592, IP 36 and GB/T 3536, heating at 14–17 °C/min then 5–6 °C/min. Fire point is confirmed by a 5 s sustained flame sensor.
