Holding a steady 5 °C/min by hand is the hardest part of the ring and ball test. This tester ramps automatically at 5 ± 0.5 °C/min up to 150 °C, measuring with a Pt100 at 0.1 °C. The operator presses a key as each ball touches the plate and the temperature is held on the display for both rings in the 1000 ml beaker.
