It combines an 800 ml beaker, a brass holder with two shouldered rings 25 mm above the lower plate, 9.5 mm balls of 3.50 ± 0.05 g and a magnetic stirrer hotplate. The operator holds approx. 5 °C/min while watching the thermometer.
