Digital Strut Buckling Apparatus with Load Cell

Screw loading with a digital load cell gives finer control near the critical load than dead weights. This apparatus tests six strut lengths from 300 to 750 mm in steel, aluminium and brass, loaded by hand-wheel against a 0–2 kN load cell accurate to ±0.2% FS. Force shows at 0.1 N with peak hold, and four end-condition combinations are supplied.
