Cryogenic laminates, optical mounts and cold-chain packaging contract in ways room-temperature tests miss. This TMA works from −150 to 400 °C cooled by LN2 or a compressor-type cooler, ramping 0.5–20 °C/min either way. Displacement resolution is 5–20 nm with loads of 0.001–2 N. A dry purge of N2 or Ar keeps moisture off the specimen.
