Manual Visual Polarimeter

Schools, colleges and occasional sugar checks rarely justify an automatic polarimeter. This visual instrument uses a half-shadow field at 589 nm, reads ±180° with a vernier to 0.05° and takes standard tubes of either 100 or 200 mm. It teaches the principle of optical activity clearly and costs little to maintain. Choose sodium lamp or LED source when ordering.
