Glass and carbon fibre composites, ceramic-filled parts and heavily loaded flame-retardant compounds need burn-off temperatures above 1000 °C. This TGA reaches 1500 °C, or 1600 °C as an option, and accepts larger 5–50 mg samples. Argon, nitrogen, air, oxygen and an optional steam atmosphere are available, with purge flows of 50–200 mL/min.
