Pavement and airfield concrete is designed on flexural strength, and fibre concrete is judged on how it behaves after cracking, so beam testing needs its own machine. We offer a hand-pump flexural frame, a digital automatic machine, a closed-loop servo system for fibre-reinforced beams, a flexure attachment for existing compression machines and an electro-mechanical frame for small beams. Beam size, required control mode and specimen volume decide the choice. Loading arrangements follow ASTM C78, BS EN 12390-5 and ASTM C1609.
