Trial mixes only predict site performance if the lab mixer produces a uniform batch every time. We build tilting drum mixers for general work, forced pan mixers, twin-shaft and single-shaft forced mixers that match plant mixing action, and a larger drum mixer for full specimen sets. Batch volume, the stiffness of your mixes and whether your standard calls for a particular mixer type decide the choice. All suit specimen preparation to ASTM C192 and BS EN 12390-2.
