When cores are impractical or too few, penetration resistance gives a quick in-place estimate of concrete strength and early-age readiness for stripping or stressing. We supply standard and low-power Windsor probe systems, a digital version with electronic depth measurement, spring-driven pin penetration testers and mortar penetration testers for masonry joints. Expected strength, aggregate hardness and whether you test concrete or mortar decide the model. Probe testing is described in ASTM C803/C803M, and results should be correlated with cores following BS EN 13791.
