The Pelton wheel is the standard example of an impulse turbine for high-head, low-flow hydropower sites. Our range runs from a bench-top module on a hydraulics bench to self-contained rigs with rope or band brakes, a digital rig with generator loading, a twin-jet research rig and a governing demonstrator with spear valve and deflector. Available head, the output you want to measure and how far you need data logging will steer the choice. Test methods are adapted from IEC 60193 for model turbines, with IEC 60041 used for field-style efficiency checks.
