Abney and hand levels give quick slopes and approximate heights during reconnaissance, cross-sectioning and teaching, with no tripod needed. We supply a standard brass Abney level, an Abney level with magnifying sight tube and finer vernier, a non-magnifying Locke hand level, a 2.5× magnifying hand level and a digital Abney level with LCD readout. Required resolution, magnification and whether degrees or percent are needed decide the choice. Terms follow ISO 9849, and rough setting-out checks sit within ISO 4463-1 practice.
