A laser distance meter replaces the tape for room dimensions, offsets and heights, and one person can use it. We supply a basic 40 m handheld, a 100 m model with Bluetooth and tilt sensor, a 200 m outdoor meter with camera viewfinder, a 1500 m laser rangefinder monocular and a 60 m industrial distance sensor module. Range, outdoor visibility, accuracy and data output decide the choice. Hand-held meters are specified to ISO 16331-1, and all laser classes follow IEC 60825-1.

How to specify
- Outdoors the red dot disappears beyond about 20 m; choose a camera or optical viewfinder.
- Ask for accuracy quoted to ISO 16331-1 so models can be compared fairly.
- Use a target plate for long ranges or dark surfaces.
